I just got back a few days ago from a trip to Morocco with my friends, and I just think it would be nice to share it here, a little throwback for my future self.
We went in the month of September 2019, the sun was scorching hot, highest temperature was about 42 degrees celcius! But the hottest was actually at the desert as we were riding the camels. My friends and I booked a whole tour with a Moroccan company (www.aroundmoroccotravel.com) which was about 300EUR per person (there were six of us) and that includes camel ride, breakfasts, dinner, transportation (we travelled by car to all the places) and luxury tent in the desert. Here are the few highlights of Morocco that I could capture;
It’s an amazing dish, also a rather popular one. I loved the taste, but I would prefer a spicy kebab (hehe) because this dish is not spicy at all 😦 . On most of our days in morocco, we would opt for this dish as it’s the easiest and also the most available dish out of all. Some meals cost us about 100dirham, some slightly lower than that.
We went to the Sahara Desert on the second day of our trip and I would say that this was the best part of the whole Morocco trip! We stargazed in the middle of the night, danced with the local staffs at the tent, ate a wholesome dinner and breakfast, watched the sunset and sunrise and did sand-boarding.
Shopping in Fes
On the second last day of our trip, we travelled to Fes, which is the city where we will be departing back to London Gatwick from. The city is pretty small, we did not have too much time here tbh, managed to eat dinner and shop for a bit in Fes.
*more pictures from the desert!
Overall, Morocco is too hot for me, haha. But it was a good experience!
